Uttarakhand: Legal fight in the court and political fight on the road, Youth Congress took out a torch procession

The procession started from the Congress Headquarters at Rajpur Road in Dehradun and was taken out till Ghantaghar. During this, the Congress also made a show of strength from one side. A large number of workers gathered in the procession and directly challenged the BJP government at the Centre. Also said that a conspiracy was hatched against the opposition to hush up the Adani episode. At the same time, many Congress leaders also mentioned the old speeches of PM Narendra Modi. It is worth mentioning that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been convicted on March 23 by the Surat district court of Gujarat in a criminal defamation case filed in 2019 with the name ‘Modi’. Along with this, he was sentenced to two years and has also been given bail. Along with this, he has been given 30 days to appeal against this decision of the court. Rahul Gandhi clearly said in the court that he will not apologise. The matter pertains to the remark made by Rahul Gandhi regarding ‘Modi surname’.
This case has been registered against Rahul for his remark in which he had allegedly said – Why all thieves have the same surname Modi? Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was present in the Surat District Court when the verdict was pronounced in the matter. Earlier, he had said that whatever punishment someone gives him, he will accept it. His sentence was suspended, giving him 30 days to appeal to a higher court. Now the Lok Sabha Secretariat has canceled the membership of Rahul Gandhi.
