The person who printed the poster of ‘Modi Hatao’ said – did this earlier too but no one asked questions

Controversy continues over PM Narendra Modi’s poster in Delhi. Last month, while taking action against three people for putting up posters related to PM Modi, the police arrested them. At the same time, another person was detained for pasting posters in different areas of the capital Delhi. In these posters it was written ‘Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao’. Now the statement of the person who printed the pamphlet in this matter has come to the fore. The owner of the printing press said during a conversation with The Indian Express about this matter that he has printed posters of many politicians till now, but there was never any inquiry or arrest before this. Vinod Pundir, owner of Om Sai Printers, said that he and his brother Deepak have been running their printing press in Dilshad Garden for more than three decades. We will never do anything illegal. We are just doing our job.
‘I did nothing wrong’
He informed that on March 17, an order for around 50,000 posters was placed by a political leader. We got the posters printed and delivered them to Rouse Avenue within three days. He said that he was picked up late last night after the police saw the posters in West Delhi. His wife and children were scared. He says that he has not done anything wrong. He said that the name of his printing press is clearly written on the poster.
Police statement regarding the matter
Police said that a case has been registered against the accused for not giving the name of the printing press on the posters and for damaging public property. He was charged under The Press and Registration of Books Act and the Delhi Prevention of Desecration of Property Act. Three people were arrested on 20-21 March, who were later released on bail.
