125th anniversary of Sri Ramakrishna Math, PM Modi said in Chennai – this math played an important role in my life

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a function to mark the 125th anniversary of the Sri Ramakrishna Math in Chennai on Saturday evening. Governor RN Ravi was also with him. In the Math, PM Modi stood in front of the statue of Swami Vivekananda and bowed to him. During this, a statue of Swami Vivekananda was also presented to PM Modi from the Math. On this occasion, PM Modi said, ‘I have great respect for the Ramakrishna Math. This Math has played an important role in my life. Ramakrishna Math is celebrating 125th anniversary in Chennai. This gives me another reason to be happy. I love the Tamil language, culture and the atmosphere of Chennai.

Ancient Thoughts Reaching the New Generation

PM Modi said that today I got a chance to visit Vivekananda House. While meditating on the famous rock at Kanyakumari, Swamiji discovered the purpose of his life. I feel inspired and energized. I am happy to see that ancient ideas are reaching the new generation.

Math works on the spirit of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat

PM Modi said that people across the country had a clear concept of India as a nation for thousands of years. This is the spirit of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat. This is the spirit with which Ramakrishna Math works.

The PM said that the country has decided to make the next 25 years Amrit Kaal. This Amrit Kaal can be used to achieve great things by imbibing the five thoughts – the Pancha Pranas. Which is to build a developed India, remove any trace of colonial mindset, celebrate our heritage, strengthen unity and focus our thoughts.
