The accident took place at around 2.30 a.m. near Ghalibpur Deoria Bishambharpur village on Balrampur-Utraula road under Shridattaganj police station area of ​​Balrampur district. 25-year-old Sonu Gond son Paras Gond, a resident of Bankul village of Shrirampur police station area of ​​Deoria district, used to work in a papermill in Lalkua, Uttarakhand. There is a wedding ceremony at his in-laws’ house on April 15, to attend which he left for home with the entire family in a Swift Dzire car. Sonu was driving the car. While his wife 22-year-old Sujavati Devi, brother 18-year-old Ravi, 11-year-old sister Khushi, six-year-old daughter Ruchika, five-year-old son Divyanshu were sitting in the car.

According to the Balrampur police, he had just reached Galibpur Deoria Bishambharpur village on the Balrampur-Utraula road under Sridattaganj police station area of ​​Balrampur district when suddenly the car collided with a truck. The couple, siblings and both the children in the car died on the spot. When Inspector Vipul Kumar Pandey, in-charge of Shridattaganj, who was on patrol, saw the damaged car, he feared an accident. The front part of the car was completely damaged due to the collision. Seeing the blood splattered on the seat of the car, along with the people present there, the policemen also got scared. The police somehow pulled out all the six people trapped in the car after a lot of effort, but by then everyone had stopped breathing.
