Foreign coaches will give training to the players of Uttarakhand, this arrangement was made in the CM Sports Development Fund

Foreign coaches will also be able to train the players of Uttarakhand for national and international games. According to Jitendra Sonkar, Additional Secretary and Director of the Sports Department, arrangements have been made for this in the Chief Minister’s Sports Development Fund. If a player needs a foreign coach, foreign sports coaches will be hired for him.

According to departmental officials, Punjab and some other states have already made arrangements for the training of their players. The 38th National Games are to be held in Uttarakhand next year. In order to win more medals in these sports, the state government is preparing to train sportspersons from state sports coaches as well as from foreign coaches.

Reports have also been sought from the states of Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, UP etc. on behalf of the Sports Department to study its arrangement in other states of the country. Departmental officials say that reports of some states have been received. After receiving the reports of some other states, a proposal for this will be prepared and sent to the government.

Uttarakhand got the hosting of National Games

Uttarakhand Olympic Association Secretary DK Singh says, Uttarakhand is known as Devbhoomi and Veerbhoomi. Most of the soldiers of the state give their martyrdom in the army. Be it foreign coach or any other arrangement, all possibilities should be explored so that Devbhoomi can be known as Veerbhoomi as well as state sports ground. He said that efforts should be made that the players of the state can win maximum medals in the hosting of National Games that Uttarakhand has got.

Sports coaches are on contract for most of the posts in the state

Sports coaches are posted on contract in most of the posts in the state. Although the department had earlier recruited for the posts of 60 sports coaches, but the department got only 28 sports coaches.

The proposal of the Chief Minister’s Sports Development Fund has been approved in the previous cabinet. There is a provision in it that if a player needs a foreign coach, then it will be made available for him.
