Uttarakhand / Pauri: The cage was set up to catch monkeys, the henchman got trapped

In Aneth village of Nagdev range, the forest department had set up a cage to catch the monkeys, but instead of the monkey in the cage, the heifer got trapped. While another henchman fled from the spot. On the information of the villagers, the forest department team reached the spot and the medical examination of Guldar was done. Guldar was found healthy in the medical examination. The Forest Department team will soon release Guldar in the forest. Monkey menace has been created in Aneth village and surrounding villages located in Nagdev range of Garhwal forest division. Villager Vishnu Prasad told that the monkeys had bitten and injured Narendra Lal, Kalika Prasad, Shakuntala Devi and others. Monkeys are damaging food items by entering homes. He said that on the demand of the villagers, a few months ago the forest department had set up cages to catch monkeys. No monkey is trapped in the cage yet. Manorath Prasad, a villager in Aneth village, told that when he woke up at five in the morning, he saw that the guldar was trapped in a cage set up near the house to catch monkeys.
Also another henchman is roaming near the cage. After making noise, the roaming henchman ran away. After this, he informed the villagers and the forest department about the incident. The villagers said that the monkeys were few that now the guldar has also come. He demanded that the Forest Department install cages in the affected area. On the other hand, Forest Officer of Nagdev Range Lalit Mohan Negi said that Guldar is a female of about one year. He was rescued and brought to Model Crew Station Buakhal. He is healthy in medical examination. He informed that patrolling has been increased in the affected rural areas.
