The list of religious places built illegally in all reserved forest areas of the state including Rajaji and Tiger Reserve, Gangotri and Nanda Devi Biosphere Park has been prepared by the Forest Department.
It has been revealed in this list that most of the temples in these areas were built before 1980. The famous Mansa Devi temple is also included in this list. The Mansa Devi temple was built in 1903 and other temples were built before the formation of Rajaji National Park in the year 1983.
