Uttarakhand: BVRC Purushottam in action as soon as the nodal officer was appointed, took stock of Kedarnath Yatra routes on foot

For the successful conduct of Chardham Yatra, the government has appointed three nodal officers. These include BVRC Purushottam, Ranjit Sinha and SN Pandey. Among these officers, BVRC Purushottam has been given the responsibility of Kedarnath. After which, despite the bad weather today, BVRC Purushottam reviewed the yatra route on foot. He talked about taking special care of the safety of pilgrims in Bhairon Glacier and Kuber Glacier.
BVRC Purushottam also reviewed the registration of passengers being done at Sonprayag. After this, he also inquired about the horses and mules being operated on the Yatra route in Gaurikund. He instructed the Animal Husbandry Department that the task force has been deployed to ensure that there is no cruelty to animals in the Yatra route. He also took stock of the drinking water system, electricity and health facilities on the yatra route. During this, he also reviewed the medical facilities in the MRP being operated on the Yatra route. He instructed to keep all the necessary medicines in sufficient quantity. The Secretary/Nodal Officer Kedarnath expressed satisfaction for the facilities and arrangements made available by the concerned departments for the pilgrims coming to visit Kedarnath on the Yatra route.
BVRC Purushottam inquired about the travel arrangements by talking to the personnel of District Administration, Police Administration, SDRF, DDRF, NDRF and YMF deployed along the travel routes. Encouraging all the officers and employees, he said that in all odd and difficult circumstances, they should discharge their responsibilities with service. He said that keep sweet and gentle behavior with the pilgrims coming to visit and all officers and employees should work with mutual coordination. He directed the jawans engaged in security arrangements on the Yatra route to take special care of the safety of the pilgrims in Bhairon Glacier and Kuber Glacier in case of bad weather and snowfall every second in Kedarnath Dham.
