If a procession comes at the doorstep of the house, then the bier will rise instead of the doli. Some youths have given this threat to the father of a girl from Garhmukteshwar a month before marriage. Not only this, the accused threatened to kill the girl if she reached the house of her future husband and got married. In such a situation, the frightened young man has refused to marry. On the other hand the whole family is scared of the threats of the accused. The aggrieved party has filed a complaint in the police station and requested for security. A person from a village in Garhmukteshwar area told in the Tahrir at the police station that a few days back he had fixed his daughter’s relationship with a young man. The ceremony of baby shower of the daughter has also been done. It was decided to get married on 27 June. In such a situation, the victim and her family were busy preparing for the wedding.

On May 25, three youths from his own village threatened him that if the girl’s marriage was not stopped, a bier would be lifted from his house instead of a doli. After this, the accused reached the house of the daughter’s future husband. Where he showed the objectionable photos of the daughter to the young man. Not only this, he threatened that if the young man did not refuse to marry the girl, then his entire family would be killed.

On the same day, the young man made a phone call to the victim and refused to marry giving information about the accused. Police station Garhmukteshwar in-charge Inspector Somveer Singh said that strict action will be taken against the accused after probing the matter.
