Uttarakhand: Under the program of ‘9 Years of Utkarsh’, folk artists and singers performed in the capital, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari was also present

At Sanatan Dharma Inter College, Bannu Racecourse, Dehradun, on the second day of ‘9 Year Utkarsh Ke’ festival of development and culture and the country’s infinite development journey, on 31 May 2023, various folk artists and singers presented mesmerizing performances. As the chief guest on this occasion, local MLA Umesh Sharma Kau ji said that the program presented by local artists is a wonderful experiment to take the schemes of the government to the common citizens. Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that the government is making continuous efforts to preserve the local art and culture. He said that in fact the local dialect is the best medium to take the policies, plans and programs of the government to the common citizens.

Renowned folk singer of Uttarakhand, Narendra Singh Negi, praising the schemes being run by the Central Government and the State Government, said that due to the efforts of the government, the self-respect of the people of Uttarakhand has come back again. He said that today there is a need to protect the local dialect. In the new education policy, the efforts made by the government for the development of local dialects are noteworthy.

Today, in the program organized under the joint aegis of Information Department and MDDA, the performances given by famous folk singer Garh Ratna Narendra Singh Negi and famous singer Digvijay Pariyar of Uttarakhand won the hearts of the audience. The main attraction of the program were stalls based on local produce. Apart from this, presentation of government schemes through digital exhibition was also highly appreciated. Under the programme, information was provided about public welfare schemes run by the state and central government through the exhibition of government schemes (state and central) and public utility services.
