If you are buying or selling an old vehicle, then know the new rule. Your work is not going to work just by taking xerox of sales letter and identity card. Now RTO has changed the rule of transfer of vehicle. From now on it has become mandatory for the vehicle owner to come to the RTO to sell or buy an old vehicle. Verification and signature matching of the vehicle owner will be done in the office. Only after that the vehicle will be transferred. Along with this, a change in the vehicle software during this period has increased the problem in the transfer of the vehicle.

New system of vehicle transfer

In the new system, the vehicle will be transferred only when the OTP message is sent to the mobile number registered in the Aadhaar card of the old owner. The OTP received in the message will be entered in the software. Till then the transfer application will not proceed further in the computer. Till now, during the process of vehicle transfer, OTP was sent only to the buyer’s mobile. Now OTP will come on the mobile of both seller and buyer. Till the time the old owner does not tell the OTP, the transfer fee will not be deducted.

OTP will be important

RTO Sunil Sharma told that no person will be allowed to be harassed in the RTO office. Due to the change in the software, the problem related to OTP on the old owner’s mobile is being discussed in the headquarters. At the same time, the rule of calling the old owner has been implemented only to prevent fraud in vehicle transfer. If anyone is facing any problem, he can come directly and talk to me or other officials. The rules are not meant to disturb the common man, but for their convenience.
