America: Two Indians arrested for duping an elderly American woman of $80,000
Two Indian men have been arrested in the US state of Florida for duping a 69-year-old woman of USD 80,000 through a phone scam. This information has been given in a media report.
The Ocala Police Department arrested Partha Patel, 33, and Jayrami Kuruguntla, 25, after the woman suspected a third attempt by the scammer to obtain US$50,000.
The woman received a pop-up message on her iPad on May 23 claiming that her bank had been compromised and that she needed to call a number.
