Union Minister Smriti Irani was on a tour of her parliamentary constituency Amethi. Meanwhile, a video of her is going viral on social media, in which she is seen lashing out at a journalist. In fact, Smriti Irani had reached Salon, the assembly constituency of her parliamentary constituency, and there a journalist wanted to ask her a question. But Smriti Irani got angry at the journalist.

In a video viral on social media, Smriti Irani is heard telling the journalist, “You are a reporter of Dainik Bhaskar but don’t insult my area. If you disrespect my area, I will call your boss and tell him. You don’t have the right to insult my area.”
Smriti Irani further says, “You will be a big reporter but don’t insult the people of my area. Salon assembly is a part of my Lok Sabha seat and I will not tolerate the insult of my people. Do not insult the people of my area from now on.
Congress targeted Smriti
At the same time, Congress party has also attacked BJP and Smriti Irani regarding the viral video clip. Sharing the video, the Congress party wrote from its Twitter handle, “Smriti Irani ji is threatening the journalist. The idea is to call the owner and eat the job. It seems that the journalist must have asked – when will you get sugar for 13 rupees? Or when will the price of gas cylinder be reduced? Or why are you silent on the atrocities with daughters? If I could not answer, she came down on the threat. Smriti Irani ji because you wanted to understand – this is not love.
While replying to the tweet of Congress, Smriti Irani said that tell when the former MP (Rahul Gandhi) is coming for the debate. He wrote, “Oh divine creature, I am blessed to have darshan again. Do not misbehave with the people of Amethi, this was a request which you may not understand. You can bear the insult of the people of Amethi, I cannot.
