Learned to print fake notes in jail, started printing as soon as he came out, AC mechanic was printing fake notes for 8 years

The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a person who was selling fake currency by printing it in Loni area of Ghaziabad, adjacent to Delhi, for the last 8 years. The police had arrested this person in the year 2018. After being in jail for two years, when the accused came out of jail, he started printing fake notes. The amount of material that the police has recovered from him, about 5 crore fake notes could have been printed.
Learned to print fake currency in jail
The accused Prashant alias Vishal is a resident of Chennai. He came to Delhi in the year 2013 in search of work. Here Vishal started working as an AC mechanic. In the year 2015, Vishal was arrested by Ghaziabad’s Sihani Gate police with a stolen bike. After this he was sent to Dasna Jail. Vishal met a prisoner named Amit in the jail.
Amit taught Vishal to print fake notes. After getting out of jail, Vishal started printing fake notes. In 2018, the police arrested him with fake notes. After being caught, Vishal remained in jail for almost 2 years and came out in 2020. After this, once again he set up in Loni area of Ghaziabad and started printing fake notes.
Under the operation, the accused was caught from near Indraprastha Park in Delhi
According to the Special Cell of Delhi Police, they had received information that someone was involved in the business of counterfeit notes. He is printing not only 500 but also 2000 fake notes. After this, when the police investigated further, it was found that a person named Vishal was running this network. The police came to know that Vishal was about to come near Indraprastha Park in Delhi to sell fake notes. The police started surveillance in that area and caught Vishal as soon as he reached there. About 2 lakh fake notes of 500 and 2000 have been recovered from Vishal.
Vishal was preparing to print five crore notes
When the Delhi Police team reached Vishal’s hideout in Loni, the police team was stunned to see the setup there. First, the police recovered 4 lakh 70 thousand printed fake notes from there. The recovered notes were of 200, 500 and 2000. Apart from this, the police have recovered paper, thread and color, with this material Vishal could have printed fake notes worth five crores. According to the police, Vishal used to sell these fake notes further for an amount of 30 percent.
