Uttar Pradesh: Lekhpal got the house under construction demolished for not getting the bribe? The victim’s family reached the DM with a complaint
The aggrieved party alleges that while getting the house made under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the regional accountant demanded a bribe of fifty thousand rupees from the beneficiary. When he did not get the bribe money, Lekhpal got the under-construction house demolished by bulldozer after eating khuns. The victim’s family reached the door of the District Magistrate and gave a complaint letter giving information about the case and requested for justice.
According to the information, Chhedi Devi wife Amit Kumar, a resident of Nibawar Darota Lalpur village of Jafarganj police station area, told in the complaint letter given to the District Magistrate that she is a poor scheduled caste woman. His family has been living in the Pustani house for almost 50 years. His kutcha house was built. He got a house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. which she was making. The entire work of the house was almost done and the roof was falling. Only then the regional Lekhpal Rajesh Dubey came and started demanding a bribe of fifty thousand rupees. When the money was not given, Lekhpal said that he would demolish the house with a bulldozer. On the afternoon of June 15, Lekhpal came with a bulldozer and started talking about demolishing the house. When those people started pleading, despite this, Lekhpal got the house demolished with a bulldozer.
Told that the houses of other people of the village have been built or are still being built on this aaraji. Lekhpal is not taking any action on the people’s colony because they are getting the Lekhpal to work by taking money. Told that her husband and father-in-law are handicapped. She was getting the house constructed by taking a loan. People with moram, gitti, sariya, cement, brick and shuttering, the materials used in house construction, are coming to him for money. He is very upset. He demanded from the District Magistrate that compensation should be given for the loss and also legal action should be taken against the accountant by filing a first information report. If this does not happen then she will be forced to commit suicide along with the family.
