Congress has now taken a big step in the Belda case of Roorkee in Haridwar district. Congress delegation reached Chief Minister’s residence today to meet Chief Minister Dhami. A delegation led by Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, State President Karan Mahara and former CM Harish Rawat met CM Dhami.

Expressed displeasure over the working style of Haridwar police

The Congress delegation has also expressed displeasure over the working style of the Haridwar Police in this matter.

Congress raised demand for high level inquiry
Congressmen, after meeting the Chief Minister, have raised the demand for a fair inquiry into the incident at Belda in Roorkee. After meeting the CM, former CM Harish Rawat said that the father who lost his son, and the daughter who lost her husband. We had come to meet the Chief Minister after taking his prayer. Along with this, he said that the victim’s family has not been able to get any help so far. In such a situation, the family members of the victims should be helped by the government.

Arrested innocent people should be released
Former CM Harish Rawat said that the points put forward by the Congress to Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami reflect the reality. He said that on behalf of the Congress delegation, a request has been made to the Chief Minister that innocent people should be spared while sorting out the unilateral arrests made in connection with the Belda incident.

Medical help should be given to the injured in the incident
Harish Rawat said that the people who were injured in this incident are not getting medical help. He told that the Congress delegation has urged the Chief Minister to provide immediate medical facilities to those injured in the incident.
