Uttarakhand: G-20 guests were to be hosted at Triveni Ghat, the rain ruined all the preparations

On June 28, the foreign delegates who came to the third meeting of G20 will take part in the grand aarti of Maa Ganga at Triveni Ghat. Regarding the preparations for this program, the officers are engaged day and night in making decorations and arrangements at Triveni Ghat, but due to the heavy rains since two days, it has become a challenge for the officers to repair the arrangements. Due to the torrential rains, the water of the roads along with the filth has reached the Triveni Ghat. Municipal employees are engaged in cleaning it.

Due to torrential rains on Sunday morning, a lot of chaos spread at Triveni Ghat. The water of the roads started falling into the Ganga after passing through the Triveni Ghat along with all the garbage. During this, the sight seen at Triveni Ghat was surprising to the people. All the roads leading to the ghat were submerged. The river was seen flowing at Triveni Ghat. When the rain subsided, the employees of the Municipal Corporation hurriedly reached to clean the ghat.

They started taking the garbage to the dumping ground in tractor trolleys, but the officials engaged in repairing other arrangements had to face a lot of trouble. Due to the increase in the water level of the Ganges, the beautiful flower grass planted on the island built in the middle of Triveni Ghat after spending lakhs of rupees got washed away in the Ganges. Mayor Anita Mamgain reached Triveni Ghat again on Sunday afternoon to see the arrangements. During this, he instructed the employees of the Municipal Corporation to clean the garbage spread on the ghat as soon as possible. After talking to all the officials, he also asked them to complete the arrangements. The mayor told that due to the rains, chaos has definitely spread on the ghat, but work is being done to repair them.
