Pakistan: After the cash crisis, Pakistan is now burning in the fire of terror, 389 people died in suicide attacks this year

The incidents of terrorist and suicide attacks are increasing this year in Pakistan, which is facing cash crunch. The condition is so bad that so far 389 people have lost their lives in the country due to these attacks.

Dawn has shared its information citing the report of Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS). According to the figures given in the report, there were a total of 271 attacks in Pakistan, in which 389 people lost their lives and 656 others were injured.

79% increase in attacks compared to last year

Last year, there were 151 attacks in Pakistan, in which 293 died and 487 were injured. The figures show a 79 per cent increase in attacks during the first half of 2023 as compared to the previous year. In the second half of 2022, 228 attacks were recorded, resulting in 246 deaths and 349 injuries.

This year the first six months of 2023 have seen an 18 per cent increase in attacks as compared to the second half of 2022. In addition, the death rate increased by 58 percent and injuries by 88 percent.

236 died in terrorist incidents

The data also revealed that at least 236 people have been killed by security forces in Pakistan, whom the official has termed as ‘terrorists’. Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed 174 terrorist attacks during the first half of this year, claiming 266 lives and injuring 463 others, Dawn reported.

According to PICSS data, terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tribal districts have increased by 51 percent during the first half of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, although the death rate declined by 10 percent and 15 percent compared to the first Is.

75 terrorist incidents in Balochistan

In the first half of 2023, 75 terrorist incidents took place in Balochistan, in which 100 died and 163 were injured. The data shows that there has been a 103 percent increase in terrorist attacks compared to the same period last year and a 14 percent increase over the last six months of 2022. Compared to the first and second half of 2022, the death rate in Balochistan increased by 61 percent and 64 percent, respectively, in the first six months of the current year.

Decline in terrorist incidents in Sindh

The report further states that there has been a slight decline in terrorist incidents in Sindh. In the first six months of 2023, 13 attacks were reported, resulting in 19 deaths and an equal number of injuries. The death rate in Sindh increased by 27 percent compared to the first half of last year, while the last six months of 2022 saw a 171 percent increase. Whereas, the Punjab province has seen a significant increase in terrorist-related incidents during the first six months of 2023.

The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
