Uttarakhand: Kanwar Mela 2023 begins in Haridwar, district administration worships Mother Ganga, prays for successful event
Kanwar fair has started in Dharmanagari Haridwar from today, due to which the arrival of Kanwariyas has started. The kanwariyas are leaving for their destination by filling Ganges water from here. Meanwhile, the District Magistrate and SSP, under the auspices of the Ganga Sabha, worshiped Mother Ganga at the world famous Harki Paidi and prayed for the successful completion of the Kanwar Mela. Apart from this, various facilities have been provided by the district administration for the kanwariyas carrying water on foot.

More facilities will be available on Kanwar track
District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal told that the Kanwar fair has started from today. After worshiping Mother Ganga, it has been prayed that by her grace this fair should be completed safely. On the other hand, he told about the arrangements that this time more facilities have been made available for the Kanwaris on the Kanwar track than before. Whether it is drinking water or health care, both the services are available on the Kanwar track for the Kanwaris.
Flag march taken out by the police
SSP Ajay Singh told that today the Kanwar fair has been started by duly worshiping Mother Ganga. Along with this, all the forces have been deployed on duty. Today a flag march is also being taken out by us, so that a situation of trust is created. He said that the purpose of taking out this flag march is to build trust in the police towards the people. At the same time, this time many plans have been made for special traffic arrangements in the Kanwar fair, which will be implemented according to the situation.
Municipal corporation installed water fountains
Kanwar Mela 2023 has started. The kanwariyas are going towards their respective pagodas after filling Gangajal from Harki Paidi. Meanwhile, the district administration has provided light, water and many other facilities for the kanwariyas. Along with this, water fountains have been installed at various places by Municipal Corporation Haridwar to give relief to Kanwariyas from the heat. Due to which the kanwariyas are getting some relief from the heat.
