Uttarakhand: Sambit Patra met CM Dhami, discussed the development of Uttarkashi Jagannath Temple

BJP’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra paid a courtesy call to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami at Chief Minister’s residence Dehradun. During this, Sambit Patra discussed in detail with CM Dhami about the Jagannath temple established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 12th century in Sald village of Uttarkashi district.

BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra urged Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for regular worship at Jagannath Temple in Uttarkashi, protection of the temple from ASI i.e. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and proper arrangements for Mahaprabhu’s enjoyment. He also discussed in detail about the beautification of the temple and other necessary facilities from the point of view of tourism.

At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assured Sambit Patra to provide all possible help in the development of Jagannath Temple, Uttarkashi. He said that the Jagannath temple of Uttarkashi will be developed with the concept of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. Jagannath Temple is the heritage of the whole country along with Uttarakhand. Jagannath Temple Uttarkashi will be conserved and its new construction work and expansion will be done.

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra said that both the states of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and Odisha are rich in religious, cultural and spiritual terms. This Jagannath temple will prove to be helpful in further strengthening the spiritual and cultural ties between the two states. Please tell that there is a temple of Lord Jagannath in Sald village of Varunaghati in Uttarkashi.

In the past, Odia film actor Sabyasachi Mishra came to know about the Jagannath temple in Uttarkashi. After this he reached Sald village with his wife. Here he visited the Jagannath temple. After this, actor Sabyasachi Mishra talked about the development of this temple on the lines of Jagannath Puri of Odisha. For this, he also spoke to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and CM Pushkar Dhami.
