In Uttarakhand, emphasis on running crimes related to women and children in fast track courts, CM gave instructions

The cases of crime against women and children are continuously increasing in the country. This crime is also increasing in Uttarakhand. In view of this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with the concerned departmental officers in the Secretariat. In the meeting, CM Dhami gave instructions to curb crimes against women and children. Instructing the officers, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that they should inform the public about the correct facts regarding crimes against women and children. Along with this, in the crimes against women and children, the criminals should be punished on time, for this, such cases should be brought under fast track court. Whose arrangement needs attention.

At the same time, CM Dhami gave instructions to study the arrangements of other states to strengthen the prosecution department. Apart from this, in the crimes related to women, the police were asked to investigate quickly and dispose of them within the stipulated time. He said in clear words that there should be no shortcoming in the interpretation of such cases.

There should be better lobbying in the courts as well. So that the criminal cannot escape in anyone’s face. So that such an atmosphere is created in the state that people think before committing any crime. Feedback should also be taken from time to time from the women who complain. Along with this, cases related to crimes against women should be continuously reviewed at the District Magistrate level in all the districts. If there is a deficiency in deliberation and lobbying, those deficiencies should be removed immediately.

CM Dhami said that public participation is also necessary to prevent crimes against women and children. Therefore, in this regard, talks should also be held with social organizations related to women and children. The government system should be so strong that women’s faith in the system increases. So that they can report their complaints without any hesitation.

Let us tell you that under Operation Mukti in Uttarakhand, 7,670 children have been verified and 3,603 children have been enrolled in schools since 2017. Whereas, between 2015 and 2021, 2221 missing children and 604 women were recovered under Operation Smile. Women’s help desk has been set up at the police station level under Gaura Shakti Yojana. Women’s council cell has been constituted at district and state level. One woman sub-inspector and four women constables have been deployed in all the police stations.
