A shameful incident has come to light in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. Jhabua’s SDM Sunil Jha has been accused of obscenity with tribal girl students. SDM Sunil Jha had gone for a surprise inspection of the tribal hostel run by the government. The girl students have alleged that the SDM put his hand around her waist, forcibly kissed her and tried to hug her forcefully. The girl students say that the SDM also raised objectionable questions regarding periods.

On the complaint of the hostel warden, the Jhabua police registered an FIR and arrested the accused SDM Sunil Jha. The police produced him in the court, after which the accused was sent to jail on the orders of the court. When Jhabua’s DM Pawan Kumar Sharma came to know about this, he dismissed SDM Sunil Jha under Madhya Pradesh Government Civil Service Rules 1965. DM Pawan Kumar Sharma told that SDM Sunil Jha had gone to inspect the Scheduled Tribe Girls Ashram located in Jhabua.
DM Pawan Kumar Sharma told the media that Sunil Jha behaved obscenely with the girl students during the inspection. SDM Sunil Jha was sacked as soon as he came to know about the matter. Jhabua Superintendent of Police Agam Jain said that on the complaint of the hostel warden, a case has been registered against SDM Sunil Jha under sections 354, 354A, POCSO Act and SC/ST Act and sent to jail.
