Uttarakhand: CS gave instructions to the concerned officers to complete the preparations for implementing the new education policy
Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Under the chairmanship of Sandhu, a meeting with the officers of the concerned departments regarding the implementation of the new education policy was held in the secretariat on Wednesday. The Chief Secretary gave instructions to ensure all kinds of preparations for the implementation of the new education policy.
The Chief Secretary said that a calendar of training programs should be prepared according to the new education policy. He said that suggestions should be taken by continuously coordinating with the stakeholders for improvements and suggestions. A mechanism should be prepared for this. He said that work should also be done to identify children with special needs at an early stage. He instructed to ensure arrangements for this. He also directed to update the curriculum for kindergartens in Anganwadi continuously.
It was told during the meeting that ‘Pragati’ app has been prepared for the evaluation of basic reading skills and mathematical knowledge. In the perspective of the National Education Policy, the school readiness program “Aarohi” has been prepared and started in all government schools of the state for the students taking admission in class one. ‘Balvatika’ teacher handbook and ‘Balvatika’ exercise book (health, dialogue, and creation) have been prepared and distributed at the school level. In the first phase, kindergartens have been started in 4457 Anganwadi centers located in the same school premises.
Secretary Ravinath Raman, Harichandra Semwal, Additional Secretary Yogendra Yadav and Director General Education Banshidhar Tiwari and other officers were present on the occasion.
