Uttarakhand CM Dhami met PM Modi, know what happened? Read what Dhami said after meeting PM

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve projects worth Rs 5550 crore for roads, bridges and roads connecting the Manakshand Corridor. He urged for construction of tunnel route to connect Jolingkang in Pithoragarh and Lapthal ITBP post in Chamoli district on Indo-China border and approval for construction of Saong Dam. The PM assured early release of funds for the Song Dam project. Development issues were discussed in the Chief Minister’s meeting with the PM for about three and a half hours on Monday. CM informed that the drinking water problem of Dehradun city till 2050 will be solved by the construction of Song Dam. He invited the PM to attend the proposed Global Investment Summit in the month of December. The CM also presented a shawl made of local hemp fiber, products of Bedu, replica of Dhol, Damaun, Ranasingha, a traditional musical instrument of Nanda Devi Rajajat to the PM.

CM requested approval of 1852.74 crore Metro Neo project through Green Moss Rapid Transit System to reduce traffic pressure in Dehradun city. Told that, after its detailed technical study, DPR has been prepared. This proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. He requested to approve the proposals of 2550.15 crore for total 155 works received from the public representatives for the works of CRIF.

He informed that a proposal of Rs 2000 crore has been sent to the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for the construction and repair of roads and bridges damaged by the disaster in the state. In this, the Ministry of Road Transport has given consent for works worth Rs 250 crore.

Six state routes get NH status

The CM demanded the status of national highways to six state routes. He informed that in the year 2016, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had given its in-principle consent. He urged to notify the 189 km Kathgodam-Bhimtal Dhyanachuli-Mornola-Khetikhan Lohaghat-Pancheshwar motor road in NH.

Jolingkang and Lapthal ITBP posts should be connected by tunnel route

Chief Minister Dhami informed that at present there is no road connecting Jolingkang ITBP post of Pithoragarh with Lapthal ITBP post of Chamoli district in Indo-China border. It should be connected with tunnel route. This will reduce the distance of both the border posts by 404 km. BRO has already agreed to construct the road from Pithoragarh to Lipulekh, Gunji village to Jolingkang.

1000 crore sought for roads in Manaskhand project

The CM has sought Rs 1000 crore from the central government for the construction of double lane roads for 16 mythological temples under the Manaskhand project. For widening the roads, the state government is taking action for land acquisition and transfer of forest land with its own resources. Requested the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Ministry of Tourism and Culture to provide funds for the roads.

Dhami’s discussion with Prime Minister on UCC

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) during his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to sources, in this discussion, the Chief Minister informed about the progress made so far on UCC. He told the PM that the expert committee constituted under the chairmanship of Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai has prepared the draft of the UCC. This draft will be handed over to the state government. It is believed that a major decision can be taken on UCC this week.

Uttarakhand / Dehradun: A heart wrenching incident has come to light from Vikasnagar in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Where a young man killed his own mother and fled from the spot. Actually this incident is of 3rd August. Where Herbertpur police got information about a fire in a house in Rambagh area. When the police reached the spot, they found the burnt body of an old woman inside. The owner of the house, Sanjay Singh Rana, identified the body as his wife Suresho Devi alias Vandana Rana. Earlier it seemed that the woman died due to burning in the fire but the investigation revealed the case of murder. In such a situation, today the police has arrested him. Murdered mother when he did not get money for drugs The next day of the incident, the husband of the deceased, Sanjay Singh, while giving a complaint to the police, told that his son Manmohan Singh used to live with his mother. He was addicted to drugs and often used to demand money from his mother. There used to be a lot of quarrel between the two when the mother refused. The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
