Tejas will fly for the first time in Prayagraj; Chetak will start the airshow by hoisting the tricolor; Navy-Army warships will also be included
The air show to be held in Sangam city Prayagraj on October 8, on the occasion of the 91st Foundation Day of the Indian Air Force, is going to be historic in many ways. In this, the indigenous 2 seater aircraft LAC Tejas, which HAL handed over to the Air Force on October 4, will also fly. This will be his first flight at Sangam.
At the same time, MiG-21 BISON will leave its historical legacy and fly its last flight. Two planes in the air will give him the last salute in the sky itself. In the evening, when the sun is setting, the MiG-21 BISON will disappear forever in the sky.
Para jumping will be done in Sangam area from AN-32
On October 8, 5 brave Air Force soldiers will do para jumping from AN-32 aircraft. These soldiers will jump down from the airplane with the help of parachute from 1000 feet. Will land safely in Sangam area only. Chetak helicopter will start the air show. First of all, Chetak will fly in the sky carrying the tricolor. After this, 120 aircraft will take off from 10 airbases one by one. These aircraft are going to surprise the people by showing their amazing stunts in the Sangam area from all directions.
Navy and Army aircraft will also participate
This air show has been organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF). This will also include warplanes from the Army and Navy. The special thing is that women pilots will also fly in the air show. Women pilots will also be included in the Surya Kiran team. Vintage aircraft will also grace the air show. These mainly include Tiger, Moth and Howard Tenner Show. Navy and Army warships including Rudra helicopter and Dakota will also participate in the air show.
Rafale’s speed thrilled
For the second consecutive day on Wednesday, before the air show, fighter planes flew over Sangam and thrilled everyone with their speed. The movement of aircraft continued in the Sangam area since afternoon. A crowd gathered on Shastri Bridge to watch the thrill of the planes and there was a traffic jam. There was a jam for a long time.
On the other hand, the team of Akash Ganga jumped from a height of 8000 feet with the tricolor in their hands. Everyone kept staring at these amazing feats of the soldiers. When the tricolor was hoisted in the sky, everyone was forced to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
Tejas is special from the other four fighter jets because of its features…
First: 50% of the components i.e. machinery of this aircraft have been manufactured in India only.
Second: Israel’s EL/M-2052 radar has been installed in it. With this, it is capable of tracking and targeting 10 targets simultaneously.
Third: Ability to take off on a very short space i.e. 460 meter runway.
Fourth: This fighter jet is lighter than Sukhoi, Rafale, Mirage and MiG. Its weight is 6500 kg.
What preparations are going on for the air show…
To make this air show historic, the entire team of Air Force officers from across the country has taken charge. The Sangam area has been declared a no flying zone. Not only this, the confluence area has been completely evacuated. Whatever temporary shops were set up in front of Hanuman temple in Sangam. The administration has got them all removed.
No shop of any kind has been allowed to be set up at Sangam Nose till October 8. There was rough land around the fort. The administration has leveled it by installing JCB and Pokeland machines. Separate sweepers have also been deployed to keep the confluence area clean.
