Uttarakhand / Srinagar: A thug took away a woman working in the courtyard.

Cases of wildlife conflict have started increasing rapidly in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand. The latest case is from Chauras area of Kirtinagar development block, where a woman working in the courtyard of her house was attacked by a thug around 9 am on Wednesday. The woman got badly injured due to this. The woman was hurriedly brought to Base Hospital Srikot, but the doctors declared her dead. Even after this incident, a cattle raider in the area also turned a cattle into a meal. After these incidents, an atmosphere of fear has been created in the entire area. Local people and villagers have demanded to kill Guldar.

According to the incident, on Wednesday morning, 55-year-old Lakshmi Devi was working in the verandah of her house near Gorsali village of Chauras area when the woman was attacked by an ambushed gangster. But Lakshmi could not free herself from the clutches of the henchman. Doctors say that Guldar cut the vein in the woman’s neck, due to which the woman died. After this incident, there is mourning in the entire area.

Forest department’s negligence took woman’s life

Local resident Ashish Gairola says that half a dozen gangsters are already active in the area. Many times the Forest Department was asked to install cages to catch the Guldar. But the department has not yet installed any cage in the area. Village head of the area Sukesh Godiyal says that the woman died due to the negligence of the forest department. He has demanded the district administration to shoot Guldar. He said that if the gangster is not killed then the villagers will be forced to protest.

Dr. Pooja, the medical officer posted at the base hospital, said that Guldar made a fatal attack on the woman’s neck, due to which the woman died. On the other hand, Kirtinagar Range Forest Jurisdiction Buddhi Ballabh said that he has written a letter to the Chief Conservator of Forests, Uttarakhand, seeking permission to sue Guldar. Besides, more than two cages are also being installed in the area. Apart from this, the help of camera trapping is also being taken to keep an eye on the activities of Guldar.
