Uttarakhand: There will be CBI investigation of Haridwar Patanjali parking, Nainital High Court gave instructions to CM Dhami government

Nainital High Court has considered the contract extension given by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami government to the contractor of Haridwar’s Pantdweep parking during the Covid period as wrong. The bench headed by the Chief Justice has ordered the Uttarakhand government to conduct a CBI investigation into the matter.

A division bench of Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rakesh Thapliyal heard the case on Friday. Seeing the case of serious irregularities in the extension given to the parking contractor, the division bench ordered the government to get the matter investigated by CBI.

Advocate Vikas Bahuguna, appearing for the defendant, said that the government had extended the contract of the parking contractor in view of the losses incurred during the Covid period, but the court has ordered a CBI inquiry into the matter. Advocate Bahuguna said that an appeal will be filed against this decision.
