Uttarakhand: Two youths died in vehicle collision on Gangotri Highway, accused arrested from Dehradun
A youth riding a scooter became the victim of an accident late Saturday evening on Gangotri Highway. Both the youths died tragically in the accident. The driver of the vehicle that collided had fled from the spot after the accident. Uttarkashi Police arrested the accused with the help of CCTV within 18 hours.
Two youths died in vehicle collision on Gangotri Highway
The accident took place late Saturday evening near Pokhu Devta Temple on Gangotri Highway. The car coming at high speed hit the youth riding the scooter hard. The youth died tragically in the accident. The police team took the bodies of both of them in their custody and sent them for post-mortem.
Driver identified with the help of CCTV
Regarding the matter, the father of the deceased youth filed a complaint against the unknown driver. On the basis of the complaint, Uttarkashi police, with the help of CCTV, identified the driver, searched and arrested the accused within 18 hours.
The accused was arrested within 18 hours
The accused was identified as Sher Singh. Uttarkashi Police arrested the accused from the Parade Ground in Dehradun within 18 hours. Along with this, the vehicle of the accused was seized and the accused was presented in the court on Monday and sent to jail.
