Uttarakhand: Vigilance interrogated six people in Dehradun sub inspector recruitment scam
Uttarakhand News Desk, Vigilance interrogated six people in the Uttarakhand Police Inspector recruitment scam. Pantnagar University had conducted this recruitment examination in the year 2015. He had also hired a company. Six people, including some employees of both the institutions, were questioned for eight hours.
In fact, after allegations of scam in direct recruitment in Uttarakhand Police were made, investigation was handed over to Vigilance. After preliminary investigation, case registered in 2022. In January 20, 20 sub-inspectors from across the state were suspended by the police headquarters after they were prima facie found suspicious. This examination was conducted by Pantnagar University. Vigilance registered a case even after OMR sheet was not received. Now, in this case, six people including some people from Pantnagar University and the company that cooperated in the recruitment examination were called to the headquarters and interrogated. Soon some inspectors will also be interrogated again in this case. The name of copycat mafia Hakam Singh also came up in the case. His photo with some accused inspectors had gone viral. SP-Vigilance Headquarters Dhirendra Gunjyal said that six people have been interrogated.
Lineman gets four years imprisonment for bribery
The court has convicted the lineman for taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 14 years ago and has sentenced him to four years of rigorous imprisonment. The guilty will also have to pay a fine of Rs 5,000.
The court of Special Court ADJ-7 Anjili Nauliyal heard the case. The case was argued by prosecution officer Anuj Sahni and advocate Gopal Singh Kunwar. In this matter, a complaint was lodged in the Vigilance Establishment on 18 March 2009 by Yogendra resident of Naya village Paleo Patel Nagar. The allegation was that lineman Sanjay Kumar asked for a bribe of Rs 12,000 in exchange for paying the electricity bill and connecting the connection. Later a bribe of three thousand was fixed. Yogendra agreed to bribe the lineman to get him caught red-handed. The team of Vigilance Establishment Sector Dehradun arrested the lineman red-handed on March 19. The court found lineman Sanjay Kumar guilty and sentenced him.
