Sunak told Zelensky – Britain’s unwavering support for Ukraine will continue, Putin will fail.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a phone call on Friday and reiterated his country’s support for Kiev in its ongoing conflict with Russia. He said Britain’s unwavering support would continue and Russian President Vladimir Putin would fail.

“Had a good conversation this morning with President Zelensky on the latest military situation and the importance of getting grain out of Ukrainian ports,” Sunak wrote in a post on Twitter. Our support for Ukraine and the defense of its freedom is unwavering. Earlier this week I had said – Putin will fail.

At the same time, Zelensky appreciated Sunak’s support and discussed further defense cooperation with Britain, including missiles and anti-drone capabilities. Zelensky wrote in the post on X, I spoke to Rishi Sunak. Britain’s support for Ukraine remains unwavering. I appreciate it very much.

The President of Ukraine briefed the British Prime Minister on Russian attacks in Avdiivka and progress in Ukraine’s grain corridor in the Black Sea. “I briefed Rishi Sunak about Russian efforts to besiege Avdiivka,” Zelensky said.
