Uttarakhand: CM Dhami listened to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, appealed to people to promote ‘Vocal for Local’

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the 106th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat program in Brahmapuri, Patelnagar on Sunday. After the program, the Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat program inspires everyone to move forward in their field of work. The Chief Minister has appealed to the people of the state to buy local products during the festival season to promote local products. Everyone will have to make efforts to move forward in the direction of Vocal for Local.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that during the nine-year tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has made rapid progress in every field. Many works have been done during his tenure keeping the poor and the deprived at the center. Many public welfare schemes are being run like opening of Jan Dhan accounts of the poor, construction of houses for the poor, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Har Ghar Nal and Ghar Ghar Jal Yojana, construction of toilets, cleanliness etc. Many works have been done in the direction of education and women empowerment. The schemes are being taken forward keeping in mind the people of every section of the society.

The Chief Minister said that it is the effort of the state government to ensure that the full benefits of all the schemes run by the government reach the people at the bottom of the society. For this, schemes are being publicized through various mediums. Continuous efforts are being made to promote employment and self-employment in the state. Global Investor Summit is being organized so that the youth of the state can get continuous employment opportunities. Till now, MoUs worth about Rs 65 thousand crores have been signed. The Chief Minister said that further action will be taken after assessing the GGIC Brahmpuri building, Ambedkar Bhawan and health center in Brahmpuri Patelnagar area.

On this occasion, MLA Vinod Chamoli, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Chairman of Silk Federation Board Ajit Singh, Chairman Agricultural Production and Marketing Board (Mandi) Anil Dabbu, Councilor Satish Kashyap and other dignitaries were present.
