Efforts will have to be made to connect the immigrants of Uttarakhand origin living all over the world with their roots, operation of the Immigration Office will start in Uttarakhand – ACS

On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Additional Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi gave important instructions to the concerned officers in the Secretariat today to start the operations of Uttarakhand Immigration Cell soon. ACS has given instructions regarding Uttarakhand Immigration Cell to prepare a database regarding immigrants of Uttarakhand origin living in different areas of the country and the world. In this direction, help will be taken from organizations, associations and institutions of Uttarakhand immigrants in various states, cities of the country and abroad. This effort to trace the roots of the immigrants of Uttarakhand origin living across the world will start in the Global Investors Summit to be organized in the coming month of December. In this summit, Uttarakhand immigrants who have done excellent work in the country and abroad will be honored. In the meeting, the action plan for organizing regular immigrant conferences of immigrants of the state, better coordination between Uttarakhand government and immigrants, prompt action on investment proposals of immigrants, and immediate solution to the problems of immigrants were discussed.

In the meeting, plans to encourage investment and contribution of Uttarakhand immigrants in social welfare, women empowerment and social entrepreneurship, old age homes etc. in the state were also discussed. ACS Mrs. Radha Raturi said that Uttarakhand Immigrant Cell will also encourage immigrants to connect and invest in all sectors including education, health, technology in the state. He also directed to launch the website of Uttarakhand Immigration Cell as soon as possible. Along with this, Mrs. Radha Raturi has instructed the officials to study the immigration cells of other states. On the instructions of ACS Mrs. Raturi, as an immediate arrangement, the operation of an office of Uttarakhand Immigration Cell in the Secretariat is going to start soon. Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Additional Secretary Smt. Namami Bansal and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
