Nepal government’s land was sold by making fake documents, Indian citizen defrauded crores of rupees

A surprising case has come to light from the neighboring country Nepal. Here an Indian citizen made fake documents and sold land worth crores of rupees to the Nepal government. A case of corruption has been registered against an Indian citizen named Anup Mehra for making fake documents of Nepali land and causing a loss of more than 5.4 crore Nepali rupees to the government treasury.

How did Mehra get the fake papers made?

Anup Mehra also involved the head of Land Reform Office of Nawalparsi in this fraud for fake documents. He paid money and got fake papers made from the chief and then sold the land to a third party. CIAA has filed a charge sheet against Anoop Mehra, who defrauded crores of rupees. However, the Indian citizen is still absconding.

What are the allegations against Mehra?

Mehra is accused of acquiring wealth by selling a piece of land owned by the Nepal government through fake documents and causing a loss of more than 54 million Nepali rupees to the government.

Demand to repay 5.54 crore Nepali rupees

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) registered a case against Anoop Mehra and demanded payment of 5.54 crore Nepali rupees.
