Uttarakhand: Dhami strict on robbery in jewelery showroom, DGP and SSP summoned, instructed to reveal soon
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami summoned Director General of Police Ashok Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh to Jolly Grant Airport on the incident of robbery in broad daylight in the jewelery shop of Dehradun. He instructed both the officers that all the people and gangs who were involved in the crime should be caught as soon as possible and put behind the bars. He warned that negligence by anyone in law and order will not be tolerated.
He said that one should also get to the bottom of the matter as to how the incident happened despite the tight security cordon due to the State Foundation Day and the VVIP movement in Dehradun. Where was the gap left? It should also be ensured that such incidents do not recur in future.
The Chief Minister had reached the airport to see off Union Home Minister Amit Shah for Delhi. He reviewed the robbery there with both the police officers. The Chief Minister expressed concern that such an incident is a challenge to law and order in Uttarakhand, which is considered peaceful. He instructed both the officers to take such measures so that no one can even think of playing with law and order.
