Bihar: Illicit liquor worth Rs 35 lakh caught in liquor banned state, it was written on the truck – Army Emergency Duty

In Bihar, where there is a liquor ban, the process of selling illegal liquor continues. Now in the capital Patna, the police has seized illegal liquor worth Rs 35 lakh. According to the information, this action has been taken in Transport Nagar of Agamkua police station area of Patna. According to the information, information was received that a truck loaded with 328 cartoons of illicit liquor was going. To hide the liquor, straw has been loaded on the truck. As soon as the information was received, the Prohibition Department team conducted a raid and seized illegal liquor worth Rs 35 lakh. The truck driver has also been arrested from the spot. A cellar was made in the truck and the liquor was kept hidden in it.
Consignment of liquor had come to Transport Nagar
It is being told that investigation is being done on whose instructions the consignment of liquor manufactured in Punjab was brought to Patna. Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition Department, Deenbandhu Kumar has said that he has taken this action on the basis of secret information. A large consignment of liquor had arrived in Transport Nagar, Patna.
Revealed after checking with scan machine
After receiving secret information, the department checked the trucks with scanner machine and found that a truck with the inscription Emergency Duty Army was parked there. When the truck was scanned with a scanning machine, it was confirmed to contain a large quantity of illicit liquor.
Liquor was caught in the police station
Recently, on September 18, 2023, a shocking series of liquor smuggling cases came to light from Hajipur in Bihar. The liquor sellers here were not smugglers, but police officers and policemen themselves. This was revealed by the Excise Department team which reached Sarai police station of Vaishali from Patna at 3 pm on Saturday night. Liquor was being loaded into a pickup parked in the police station premises. The team of the Excise Department had caught the liquor smugglers as well as the policemen red handed. In this case, FIR was registered against 4 policemen including the police station officer.
