Uttarakhand: 57 meter long pipe crosses in Uttarkashi tunnel, food items will be sent to laborers

An additional six-inch pipe was being drilled to deliver food to the workers trapped in the Silkyara tunnel. Which was 57 meters long. That pipe has now passed through the tunnel.

A 57 meter long six-inch pipe has passed through the Silkyara Tunnel. Now laborers and food items can be sent into the tunnel through this pipe. Let us tell you that till now only dry fruits and puffed rice were being sent to the workers trapped inside the tunnel. But now more food items can also be sent to them.

Today at around 4.30 pm, NHAIDCL Director Anshu Manish, District Magistrate Abhishek Ruhela and Colonel Deepak Patil, in-charge of the rescue operation conducted inside the tunnel, while giving this information to the media, said that after this first success of the rescue which has been going on for the last nine days. Efforts will be made rapidly to evacuate the workers to safety as soon as possible.

Till now, only 4 inch pipeline remained the lifeline to save the lives of the workers trapped in the tunnel. Now, after a six-inch diameter pipeline has been laid across the debris as a secondary lifeline, it will be convenient to send large-sized materials, food items, medicines and other essential equipment as well as communication equipment to the workers.

Due to which the confidence in keeping the lives of the workers trapped inside safe has increased manifold. After this good news, there is happiness and enthusiasm among the workers and their families as well as on the rescue fronts and now expectations are high regarding other rescue options.

Robot’s help is being taken for rescue
Six plans have been made to rescue the workers. On which work is being done. Now the help of robots is also being taken to evacuate the workers as soon as possible. For which two robots have also reached Silkyara. The danger is increasing with the passage of time due to which the rescue operation is being expedited.
