Uttarakhand: Even after 11 days of jewelery showroom robbery, Dehradun Police is empty handed, claims of arrest soon are false

Dehradun’s biggest robbery was carried out in broad daylight in a jewelery showroom located on Rajpur Road. Today 11 days have passed since the incident. But the hands of Dehradun Police are still empty. The five miscreants who committed the crime are out of the reach of the police.

Dehradun police still empty handed even after 11 days
The five criminals who committed the robbery at the Reliance showroom in Dehradun on the occasion of State Foundation Day have not been caught by the police even after 11 days. After which now questions have started being raised on the police department and it is natural to raise questions. The miscreants had committed the crime on the day the city was converted into a cantonment. This claim was made by Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh himself.

Accused absconds after stealing jewelery worth crores
In fact, during the President’s presence in Doon on the State Foundation Day, armed miscreants had carried out a robbery in the jewelery showroom of Reliance located on Rajpur Road. The miscreants had fled from the showroom with jewelery worth Rs 14 crore. The robbery was taking place in broad daylight, a few steps away from the DGP office in the most posh area of the city.

SSP had claimed early arrest
In just a few minutes, the miscreants committed the crime and ran away with their goods. After coming to know about the incident, the police got upset. SSP Ajay Singh had announced in this regard that this challenge will be accepted and the robbers will be caught soon. But even today the police have not been able to catch the miscreants.

Police have identified two robbers involved in the robbery
At present, the police have identified two robbers who were involved in the crime, but Doon police has not been able to reach those robbers yet. Efforts are on to catch both of them. A reward of Rs 2 lakh each has been announced on both the miscreants. It is being told that many cases are registered against both the miscreants in different states.

Two funding associates arrested
However, Dehradun Police has taken two associates of the miscreants, Amrit and Vishal, into custody and brought them to Dehradun on remand for questioning. According to the information given by the police, both these youths used to fund miscreants. Along with this, they also provided other facilities including mobile, vehicle.

Police functioning came under question
This major incident that took place on the occasion of State Foundation Day is an open challenge to Police Iqbal. The President of the country was present in the city. Along with this, Home Minister Amit Shah was also to arrive in the night. Police had claimed that the security arrangements are tight in entire Dehradun. Even after such strictness, if such a big incident happens in the capital Dehradun, then the functioning of the police is bound to come under question.
