Chief Justice Allahabad said: If I had not come here, I would have been deprived of working with a good bar.

Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court Pritinkar Diwakar said that if he had not come here, he would have been deprived of working with a good bar. The Bar of Allahabad High Court gave him what he expected. He got love and respect from the High Court Bar. He will never be able to forget it.

At the time of his departure, the Chief Justice discussed his relations with the Bar and Bench and described his time spent here as wonderful. Before this, he was given a farewell under the leadership of Acting Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta, who was appointed in full court reference. Many senior advocates including Additional Advocate General Manish Kumar Goyal, High Court Bar Association President Ashok Singh remembered his tenure.

During this he said that his behavior with the advocates was always polite. Even the junior advocate was not disappointed with his court. On the other hand, the judges of the Lucknow bench also appeared online and bid farewell to the Chief Justice. After the full court reference, High Court Employees-Officers Association President Mahesh Chandra Tripathi, Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra, Justice Ajay Bhanot, General Secretary Brijesh Kumar Shukla and other officials gave him a bouquet and wished him long life. Alok Kumar Niranjan, Brijesh Kumar Yadav etc. were present on this occasion.

Chief Justice said in his farewell speech: Lawyers of Prayagraj have purity like Mother Ganga

Allahabad High Court Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar said in his farewell ceremony that anyone working in the judicial field who has not visited the Allahabad High Court has done nothing. The lawyers here have the purity and competence like Mother Ganga.

Speaking at the farewell ceremony organized by the High Court Bar Association on Monday, he said that I am one of those fortunate people who got the opportunity to serve as the Chief Justice of Asia’s largest High Court. The judicial activism of the lawyers here is amazing and commendable as compared to any other High Court. The experience gained during the tenure of five years is like a heritage. He came here from Chhattisgarh High Court in 2018. He was made the Chief Justice on 26 March 2023.

The Chief Justice said that there is a need to manage and understand the disposal of cases before criticizing. It is not appropriate to question the working style of the High Court without being involved in the administrative system. Seeing the lawyers who had come in large numbers, the emotional Chief Justice said that the transfer from Chhattisgarh to Allahabad High Court proved to be a boon for them. He will start a new journey after January 2024.

Good days will come for lawyers in six months

At the farewell ceremony, Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar announced the huge auditorium for Asia’s largest bar association. He told that within the next six months, the lawyers will get a huge auditorium ready, in which more than a thousand people will be able to attend any program. After this, good days will come for lawyers.

Hindi medium is not hindrance in progress, strike is hindrance

The Chief Justice dedicated the credit to his teacher father for reaching the destination of becoming the Chief of the High Court after studying in a Hindi medium government school. He advised the new lawyers to leave aside the hassle of Hindi and English and maintain continuity of study. He said that it is not wrong to raise voice for one’s rights, but there is a need to avoid strikes. One day’s strike proves to be an obstacle to progress for many days.
