Uttarakhand: There will be changes in sports rules, some more sports will also be included

The sports rules of the state are going to be amended. Preparations are being made to include some other sports in the sports manual. This will pave the way for players who bring medals in national and international competitions to get jobs.

There is going to be a change in the sports rules of the state. Some more sports can be included in this. Sports Director and Additional Secretary Jitendra Sonkar says that this step is being taken in the interest of the players. Let us tell you that some sports were not included in the new sports policy. Preparations are now being made to include them.

You will get direct job after winning medal at national and international level
Let us tell you that in the sports rules, the government has made arrangements for direct jobs for the players who have won medals at national and international level in 32 sports including boxing and athletics. Under this policy, players will be given jobs ranging from 2000 to 5400 grade pay scale in six departments.

Some sports were not included
Let us tell you that in the recently held 37th National Games, there were some sports in which players have brought medals but they are not included in this list of 32 sports under the sports policy. In the National Games held in Goa, players have won three bronze medals including bronze in gymnast, silver in yoga, bronze in sepak takraw and one gold in pechak silat.

But all these sports are not included in the sports policy. Due to which even after winning medals, players will be deprived of awards and jobs. In view of this, a decision has been taken to change the sports rules. After which these sports can be included.
