‘The letter from the Central Government has arrived’, Nitish Kumar reached Darbhanga and told about the construction of AIIMS; Said- Everyone will keep watching

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Darbhanga on Monday. Inaugurated the plan to redevelop Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital at a cost of Rs 2742.04 crore into the auditorium of the newly constructed Surgical Block in DMCH.

Inaugurated various projects including educational building of 250 enrollments per year, 2100 bedded hospital and construction of Government Maharani Rameshwari Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohanpur and 400 bedded surgical block at a cost of Rs 194.08 crore.

What did the Chief Minister say on the construction of AIIMS?
The Chief Minister said that the construction of AIIMS will greatly expand the city. A letter has come from the Central Government, the site will be developed accordingly. The site will be elevated. Four lanes are being constructed. It will be so good that everyone will keep watching. We will work quickly and send it to the centre. Now the central government has also agreed.

We will expand before they start. You will see that people from everywhere including Nepal will come here for treatment. Earlier, an AIIMS was built in Patna during the tenure of Atal ji. Was being made later in 2015. We had said that there is the first medical college in Patna, here it is the second medical college after that. We wanted to stay here.

‘We first wanted to convert DMCH into AIIMS’
When we were MPs, we used to go out, meet people, meet doctors from other countries, we felt very happy. DMCH will be expanded. It will have 2100 beds. The site of DMCH will be elevated. 250 students will study in medical college. Everyone will be treated well.

Last time, we wanted to convert DMCH into AIIMS, the Central Government had agreed earlier also. Later the venue was changed. Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha, Ashok Chaudhary, Lalit Kumar Yadav, MLA Sanjay Saraogi, Vinay Kumar Chaudhary, Murari Mohan Jha and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
