Karnataka CM also expressed grief

Expressing grief over the demise of the actress, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah wrote, “The news of the demise of veteran Kannada actress Leelavati is painful. Just last week, after hearing about his illness, I visited his home, inquired about his health and spoke to his son Vinod Raj.

I am wrong in believing that Lilavati, who has entertained the audience with her captivating acting for many decades, will recover and will be with us for a long time. I pray that the soul of the deceased rests in peace and that his family gets the strength to bear this loss.”
