‘The foundation of Congress is based on corruption, why are Sonia-Rahul silent?’, Meenakshi Lekhi said on the recovery of Rs 300 crore from Dheeraj Sahu’s house.
The counting of cash recovered during the Income Tax Department raid at the premises of Congress MP from Jharkhand Dheeraj Sahu is going on. On Sunday (December 10), additional machines and people have been deployed for counting. Till now Rs 300 crore has been counted. On this, Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi has taken a dig at Congress.
On Saturday (9 December), Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi took on Congress in a press conference. Lekhi alleged that Congress has spread corruption from one generation to the next. On this matter, Lekhi said that usually the elders in the house teach us to do some big work, but the Congress elders teach us to fill big notes in the house and the program of filling big notes is still going on. Of all the corrupt people who have been caught so far, the maximum amount of cash has been recovered from Sahu’s house. When Rs 300 crore of the public’s hard-earned money is recovered from the possession of a person, the public gets very angry.
‘300 crores found, counting still going on’
The Union Minister said that Congressmen have spread corruption from generation to generation. By printing Mahatma Gandhi’s photo and keeping Gandhiji’s name, these corrupt leaders fill their accounts with currency notes. The same trend continues in the case of Dheeraj Sahu. Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu, while showcasing his moneylending skills, has shown how Congress’s moneylenders are. 10 locations of a person were raided and Rs 300 crores were recovered and the counting is still going on.
He asked that if Rs 300 crore has been recovered from a Congress leader, then imagine if all the corrupt Congress leaders are gathered at one place, how much cash will be recovered?
Appreciated the action of central agencies
Taking aim at the opposition alleging misuse of central agencies, Lekhi praised the action of the central agencies. He said that the officials kept this raid completely confidential, that is why this was possible. In this raid, crores of rupees were recovered from the office located 30 kilometers away from Bolangir.
‘Sahu lost the elections twice, yet Congress sent him to Rajya Sabha’
Raising questions on Congress, Meenakshi Lekhi said that Sahu contested the Lok Sabha elections twice but lost both times. Even after this, Congress made him a Rajya Sabha MP. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge are sitting silent on this matter. He is unable to say anything now.
‘Congress’s foundation is on corruption’
Meenakshi Lekhi said that if we talk about the generations of the Congress family, their foundation has been laid on corruption. When Rahul Gandhi says that his blood is thicker than water, he is talking about the ink being used in fake contracts. The top leadership of Congress uses corruption and scams like ATM. Whose ATM was Dheeraj Sahu? He said, “The general public counts money in ten, hundred, thousand, lakh and then crores because the general public is not used to counting such huge amounts.”
Let us tell you that in the Income Tax Department raids that have been going on for three days in Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal, cash amounting to more than Rs 300 crore has been recovered so far at the locations of the business group associated with Dheeraj Sahu.
