Covid cases rise again in the country, 335 patients found today, JN.1 confirmed in a woman from Kerala

Corona infection cases have been increasing rapidly across the country since last one week. On Sunday, 335 new cases of Covid were reported in the country, after which the number of active cases has crossed 1700. Along with this, Covid sub-variant JN.1 has also been confirmed in a patient in Kerala.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the total cases of corona across the country have reached 4.50 crore (4,50,04,816). Apart from this, the death toll has reached 5 lakh 33 thousand 316. The number of people recovering from Corona has reached 4 crore 44 lakh 69 thousand 799, that is, the recovery rate from Corona across the country remains 98.81.

Vaccination of more than 220 crore people

Health department official said that at present, more than 90 percent of Covid-19 cases in India have mild symptoms and are recovering at home. The percentage of people who lost their lives due to Covid is 1.19. According to the website of the ministry, Covid vaccine has been administered to 220.67 crore people in the country.

JN.1 sub variant confirmed in Kerala

On December 8, a case of sub-variant JN.1 of Covid-19 was also reported in Kerala. A health department official said, the RT-PCR test result of a 79-year-old woman came on November 18. In which there were mild symptoms of influenza like disease and she has recovered from Covid-19.

Earlier, JN.1 sub-variant was also detected in a person from Tamil Nadu who returned from Singapore. The man was a resident of Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu and had traveled to Singapore on October 25.
