Uttarakhand: CM Dhami held a high level meeting, gave instructions to officials to take effective steps to make Uttarakhand drug free by 2025

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while holding a high level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday, directed the officials to make effective efforts to make Uttarakhand drug free by 2025. Work should be done expeditiously towards making Uttarakhand a good governance model state. Destination Uttarakhand, the agreements signed during the Global Investors Summit should be implemented rapidly.

The Chief Minister directed DGP Abhinav Kumar to run continuous awareness campaigns for drug-free Uttarakhand. This campaign should be taken on mission mode, educational institutions, health department and organizations working for de-addiction should also be included in this campaign. He said that this campaign should be run on a large scale till March 2024. Along with making students aware about the ill effects of drugs in educational institutions, their parents should also be associated with this campaign.

The Chief Minister said that work should be done more rapidly in the direction of good governance. He instructed Secretary ITDA Shailesh Bagoli that more and more services should be made online. All departments should dispose of files in a timely manner. He said that so that common people can easily avail the benefits of online services, information about online services should be given through departments in the districts. The Chief Minister directed that the responsibility of the officers having high pendency of file files should also be fixed. He said that in view of public convenience, more and more services should be added on our government portal. Special care should be taken to ensure that people get maximum facilities at their homes.

The Chief Minister said that work should be done expeditiously for the grounding of the agreements signed under Destination Uttarakhand and Global Investors Summit. It should be ensured that investors do not have to face unnecessary problems in getting the works off the ground. For this, the single window system should be strengthened. The Chief Minister directed to give first priority to those investment proposals which have the potential to rapidly increase employment opportunities in the state and which are favorable to the state.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar, Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagoli, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari and Additional Secretary J.C. Kandpal was present.
