127 killed in earthquake in China, tremors of 6.1 magnitude
So far, 127 people have been confirmed dead in the earthquake that occurred in China late on Monday night. At the same time, more than 700 have been injured. This earthquake of 6.1 magnitude occurred in Gansu and Qinghai provinces late on Monday night. The epicenter of the earthquake was 10 kilometers underground in Sala County in Linxia Hui, Gansu. How fatal it proved to be for high-rise buildings in the province can be clearly seen in the pictures and videos from China. China’s emergency services have been entrusted with the responsibility of safely evacuating people from many buildings that were reduced to debris immediately after the earthquake. Chinese President Xi Jinping has also asked all parts of the government and administration to conduct an all-out operation.
