Protest against suspension of MPs in Uttarakhand, India alliance marched to Raj Bhavan, surrounded Modi government

India Alliance protested across the country today against the suspension of opposition MPs in the Lok Sabha. In this sequence, a gathering of leaders of different parties took place at the Uttarakhand Congress state headquarters today. Regional parties including Samajwadi Party, CPIM, CPI(ML) participated in it. Leaders and workers of all these parties together marched to the Raj Bhavan in the form of a demonstration. During this, the leaders of India Alliance fiercely attacked the central government.

Let us tell you that today leaders of all parties and hundreds of Congress workers came out in the form of a procession from Uttarakhand Congress Bhawan to surround Raj Bhawan. During this time, in view of the protest by the opposition parties, the police also deployed heavy police force for security. The police have made preparations to stop all the protesters near Hathibarkala. Congress Party State President Karan Mahara, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, former Congress State President Pritam Singh, CPI(ML) State Secretary Indresh Mekhuri, CPIM’s Samar Bhandari, Samajwadi Party during the siege of Raj Bhavan in protest against the suspension and harassment of opposition MPs. Many senior Congress leaders including the party’s national secretary Dr. Satyanarayan Sachan participated in the protest.

On this occasion, Congress State President Karan Mahara said that today is the day to save democracy. Opposing the suspension of opposition MPs, he said that the MP who had lapses in the security of Parliament was not being suspended, but the MPs who raised issues of public concern were immediately suspended. This proves that democracy is in danger today. Karan Mahara said that in the last 10 years, during the tenure of Modi government, we have seen nine people’s elected governments falling. Now we are also seeing suspension of MPs who raise public issues. He said that today the country and the Constitution are in danger. Due to which all the opposition parties are being forced to surround the Raj Bhavan.
