CBI raid in Haldwani, EPFO clerk caught taking bribe, accused of demanding bribe in the name of pension from woman

After the Vigilance arrested an officer posted at the RTO office in Ramnagar while taking bribe and doing data entry operation, another government employee has been caught taking bribe. The CBI team from Dehradun took major action against corruption in Haldwani on Friday.

EPFO clerk arrested for taking bribe

The CBI team arrested a lower divisional clerk posted at the regional office of EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organization) in Haldwani red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1500. The clerk posted in the EPFO office is accused of demanding bribe from the wife of a person in the name of settling his pension after his death. Whose complaint was lodged on his behalf in the Dehradun office of CBI.

CBI caught the clerk red handed

Following the complaint made by the woman, on Friday the CBI team raided the regional office of EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organization) located under the Ministry of Labor and Employment in Haldwani. Here Clark was arrested red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1500. The CBI team left for Dehradun on Friday night with the accused clerk. The clerk arrested on Saturday will be presented in the CBI court in Dehradun.

GST office employees caught taking bribe in Ramnagar

At present, EPFO department officials are refraining from saying anything in this matter. CBI officials say that action has been taken on the complaint. The entire matter is being investigated. Earlier on Friday, the Vigilance team had caught the state tax officer and data entry operator posted at Ramnagar GST office taking bribe on the spot. These people were arrested while taking a bribe of three thousand rupees.
