Uttarakhand: After the original residence and land law movement, now struggle committees will be formed in every district and block

On December 24, people took to the streets in the capital Doon demanding original residence and land law. After the support received by the rally, preparations have now been made to intensify this movement even more.

Demands regarding original residence and land law have been raised in the state for quite some time now. The result of which is the immense public support that the rally held on 23 December received. After this rally it has become clear that every Uttarakhandi is demanding original residence and land law.

After the support received by the rally, now preparations are being made to give momentum to this movement. The youth associated with the Sangharsh Samiti are very excited after the support received by the Uttarakhand native Swabhiman Maharally.

People associated with the Sangharsh Committee say that to give momentum to this movement across the state, Sangharsh Committees will be formed in every district and block of the state. Along with this, he says that the government should bring an ordinance to fulfill these demands. The government has been given 15 days time for this. If their demands are not met soon, the government has been warned to take a bigger step.

These are the main demands of the committee
The Sangharsh Committee has two main demands. The first demand of which is to implement the Domicile Act and declare January 26, 1950 as the cut-off date for domicile. Whereas the second demand is to implement strong land laws and impose a limit of 250 meters of land in urban areas as well as a complete ban on land sales in rural areas.
