People started booking for Wedding in Uttarakhand six months in advance
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on wedding destination Uttarakhand, people’s inclination in this direction has started increasing. The current situation is that whereas earlier booking for weddings in Triyugi Narayan Temple used to be done some time in advance, now booking for guest houses has started three to six months in advance. Along with this, many queries for wedding destination are also coming from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Due to which Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam has identified mainly five such places in Garhwal region which are being used as wedding destinations.
People’s craze for wedding in Uttarakhand is increasing
A program was organized at FRI, Dehradun regarding Destination Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit. On the first day of this two-day program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the summit. During that time, PM Narendra Modi had emphasized on wedding destination Uttarakhand. Along with this, it was said that if someone who is a billionaire and organizes his family’s weddings in foreign countries, does a wedding related to his family in Uttarakhand, then it will be of great benefit to Uttarakhand. Besides, this will not only increase the economy of the state but people will also get employment at the local level.
People taking information related to wedding destination
The effect of PM Modi’s statement of “Wedding in Uttarakhand” is beginning to be seen. On one hand, emphasis is being laid on wedding destination at the government and administration level. So, a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the people to get married in Uttarakhand. Because, especially from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, people are calling and getting all the information related to the wedding destination. Till now hundreds of people have called and got information. Mainly most of the people go to Triyugi Narayan Temple to get married. For this, information is being taken about booking the guest house of GMVN.
GMVN identified five destinations
GMVN MD Vinod Goswami said that the wedding destination is being promoted by the corporation. Along with this, five major destinations have been identified. The places where Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam has guest houses and open spaces are where the wedding destination is being promoted. Under which the world famous Triyugi Narayan Temple where the marriage of Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati took place is already a wedding destination but it has to be developed further. Secondly, work will be done to further expand the wedding destination at Tilwara Guest House located on the banks of Mandakini River.
Ganga Resort, which is built on the banks of Mother Ganga, is being promoted for weddings at that place and in the guest house at Dak Patthar in Yamuna Valley. Along with this, there is an open space near the guest house on the banks of Alaknanda river which is being promoted as a wedding destination. Focus is being taken to ensure that facilities are provided to all the guests including the wedding procession.
Booking done for six months in Triyugi Narayan
MD Vinod said that queries have started coming after PM Narendra Modi’s address. Also, bookings for weddings to be held in the next six months have started in Triyugi Narayan Temple. Whereas earlier booking was done only one or two months in advance. Also said that there is not much open space near Triyugi Narayan Temple nor are many hotels present there. Due to which people have started booking six months in advance.
The people who are booking include people from outside Uttarakhand state as well as people from Uttarakhand. People of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand are also inclined to get married in Triyugi Narayan Temple. At present, most of the bookings have been made by people from the states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
