Uttarakhand: Police busted illegal arms factory in Udham Singh Nagar, one arrested

Police has achieved great success in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Gadarpur police has busted an illegal arms factory. Along with this, one person has been arrested. While two accused are absconding.
Police busted illegal arms factory
Gadarpur police of Udham Singh Nagar district has busted an illegal arms factory. According to the information received, an illegal arms factory was running in Arya Nagar village of Udham Singh Nagar district. SSP Udham Singh Nagar Manjunath TC said that information was received from the informer that an illegal arms factory was running in the forest. After finding the information correct, Gadarpur police formed three teams and raided the forests of Arya Nagar village.
The accused is a resident of Kela Kheda police station
Police have arrested one person from the spot while two people are absconding. SSP Manjunath TC said that Mehar Singh, son of Jeevan Singh, is a resident of Kela Kheda police station. Along with this, a huge quantity of equipment for making weapons illegally has been recovered from the spot. Along with this, weapons have also been recovered.
Three people used to make illegal weapons together
The arrested accused told during interrogation that his son Mahendra and his relative Darshan Singh, along with three others, used to run an illegal arms factory. The work of selling them was done in Rampur, Rudrapur, Kichha, Haldwani, Bajpur and Kalathungi. A case has been registered against the accused under the Arms Act.
There are 14 previous cases registered against the arrested accused. 11 live cartridges and equipment were recovered from them yesterday. Along with this, four 315 bore pistols or 12 bore, one country made revolver of 32 bore and two country made guns of 12 bore, 8 live cartridges of 315 bore and four live cartridges of 12 bore have been recovered.
